Nixon works with people on both sides of the aisle. He did so when he called the Republican-dominated General Assembly back into session to preserve thousands of Missouri jobs at the Ford plant in Clay County; he did so to keep the state’s budget balanced in each of the past four years, including during the worst days of the recession; and he continues to do so through a committee formed to examine tax credits.
